MISSION

Launch a microphone into space for SEVENTEEN's upcoming music video

When working on the music video for SEVENTEEN's 'God of Music', Korean production company SL8 came to us looking for a shot of a disco-ball microphone floating in space.

EXECUTION

SL8 sent us a disco-ball microphone to launch into space for an out-of-this-world music video shot. Our team of engineers began to design and build a craft for the mic, that would keep it both secure and attractively aligned for the shot.

Once the craft was ready, it was time to launch. The microphone went up into space from one of our launch sites in Derbyshire, UK. It travelled up to altitudes over 113,000 feet before beginning its descent back down to Earth, and it was in the air for a total of over 2 hours!

The video was released on YouTube to instant attention, receiving over 18 million views and becoming the 2nd most viewed YouTube video on the day of its release.
