Case study 5 – FA cup final

It can sometimes be difficult for fans to get tickets to the Final of the FA cup with demand being so high, so we worked with the FA on a finders keepers scavenger hunt with a difference. These VIP tickets had been to space and back.

The launch took place from Wembley stadium in the early hours of the morning. Stepping out to the centre circle was certainly a memorable experience for our team, something we’re not likely to ever forget. The launch went without a hitch and the tickets were found where they landed by the grandmother of an Arsenal fan from Broad Oak.

The FA used their twitter feed to good effect to provide clues to the location of the launch as it travelled up into the stratosphere. They then put out a press release:

All things considered it was a big successful campaign, and the PR team heading it up said it was certainly the most exciting thing they’d been involved with.
